This is a 13 fret clear of the body guitar with 655mm scale length (650mm is an option at no extra cost). It is based on my 50th birthday present - an African Blackwood guitar with a gorgeous butterfly figure on the back, hence the name, and that is the guitar pictured here. The guitar was designed to ensure as much as possible of this gorgeous wood was used. It is a good compromise between a 12fret and 14 fret clear of the body guitar and is well suited to open/modal tunings for both fingerstyle and strumming. For more details on 13 fretters see Paul Hostetter's website.
You can hear a recording of my European spruce/African blackwood Butterfly here.
