Ordering

I want to be sure that the guitar you want is the one that I build. This is a balance between builder and player. My guitars have a sound, feel and style that comes from me, but there are things that can be varied such as neck width and profile, action and some cosmetics to suit your style and taste. Ideally you should play my guitars first, and I usually have or can get in a number of these for this purpose. I also need to find out about how and what you play or want to play. When you decide you want to order an instrument, I will agree with you a detailed specification and give you an estimated start and completion date and price for that specification. All shipping, duty, tax or other such charges in addition to the agreed price are to be paid by you. To join my building list I will require 25% of the agreed price - this is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by you. Two weeks before the start date I require a further 25% of the agreed price to cover material costs. Any changes to the agreed specification that occur after I start making your instrument have to be agreed between ourselves. If they result in an increase in the previously agreed price then the difference will need to be paid then by you. When the guitar is completed, the remaining balance of the agreed price is payable plus any shipping, duty, and tax charges and the instrument can be collected/shipped.

On receipt of the guitar you have a 7 day period to let me know if there are any problems with the guitar that need rectifying, after that it is assumed that the guitar is acceptable.

If the final payment is not made, if and when the instrument is sold to another customer, I will refund you 25% of the agreed price.

The instrument comes with a warranty to the original owner as long as he/she owns it in my lifetime, covering problems due to defective workmanship by me. Any remedial work required will be decided and carried out by myself and the original owner is responsible for any shipping costs. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by climatic/heat/humidity changes or damage/neglect caused by the owner of the instrument.
